Who we are

whereabouts was founded in 2024 by Molly Freeman. After over a decade of working to understand the needs of geospatial professionals across industries, Molly felt it was time to explore independent options. By 2024, she knew the time was right to begin serving others through her own firm. She founded whereabouts in order to help her fellow geospatial colleagues achieve their goals, through open, compassionate, and honest work.

Our straightforward methodology, including no-surprises pricing and open negotiation, shines bright in the geospatial industry. Molly and her team focus on remaining constantly up-to-date on new techniques and software. Her dedication to the art of geospatial sciences led to Esri awarding her Partner status in 2025.

The team aims to serve organizations that in turn serve others by providing them with geospatial consulting in understandable, affordable, accessible, and consistent terms. We love working with non-profits, state and local governments, and adjacent agencies and organizations, especially those whose goals and missions aim to support and improve our shared humanity and the natural world.
