Most geospatial consultants make you ask. We'd rather just tell you, because the organizations we work with are trying to plan budgets, not play phone tag, and because we said no-surprises pricing and we meant it.

hourly rates
Our hourly rates vary depending on the type of work and the level of expertise required. Rates reflect the level of expertise and responsibility involved in the work. Most engagements draw from more than one level, which is why we also offer a blended rate.

blended rate
For projects that mix strategic and technical work, which is quite a few, we offer a single blended rate of $180/hr regardless of what we're doing or who's doing it. No tracking hours by category, no surprises on the invoice, no negotiating over which tasks count as which rate.

time & materials
For work that's exploratory, ongoing, or hard to scope upfront, we work on a straight time and materials basis. You authorize a budget, we work against it, and we invoice monthly against actual hours. No package commitment required.
committed hours packages
If you know you've got ongoing work, Committed Hours Packages offer a discount in exchange for a commitment. Each Package includes built-in project management hours. These hours cover calls, documentation, status updates, and handoffs set at 12.5% of total hours. That time is real and it matters, so we name it instead of hiding it in scope creep.
Committed Hours Packages are invoiced fully upfront. Hours are valid for 6 months from Package purchase date.

NONPROFIT & DIVERSITY-CERTIFIED DISCOUNT
We offer 10% off hourly rates for:
Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits
WBENC, WOSB, NGLCC, NMSDC, VOSB, or other nationally recognized diversity-certified businesses
Government agencies with verified small business or disadvantaged business procurement programs
Package pricing already reflects a discount, so no additional nonprofit or diversity-certified discount applies to Committed Hours Packages. The package rate is the rate.
To apply the discount, just let us know when you reach out. We'll verify your documentation and apply it before we invoice anything.
pricing review
Rates are evaluated annually. Whatever is published here is current.
Existing clients are rate-locked for the duration of their contractual agreement. Any rate change that may take effect at renewal comes with a minimum of six months notice. No rate of any kind changes mid-contract or mid-package.
a few other things worth knowing
We don't bill for travel unless a project specifically requires on-site work and we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.
We scope every engagement before work begins and flag it immediately if something is going to push us over. You won't open an invoice and find a number you didn't expect.
