whereabouts exists because Molly got tired of firms that talk about values and then don't reflect them in how they actually operate. Specifically in who they hire, who they take on as clients, how they treat their people, and what they're willing to say out loud.

This is our attempt to do it differently.

TL;DR To work at whereabouts is to work somewhere that will actually try to support you. Not in a performative way, but in the practical, day-to-day sense of treating you like an actual person with a life outside of work.

We're still building. We don't have everything figured out. But we're doing it honestly, and we'd rather be a small firm that lives its values than a large one that prints them on the wall.
